Stitched Toe Slip On $420
These simple mules are a good trans-seasonal choice. Hand stitched over the toe with a heavy waxed thread, and then open to the top of the foot, the chosen lining colour peeks through the folded edges when walking. Shown here with a kid upper and lining, the insole and sole are also leather. The heel is stacked leather which is inked and waxed, approx. 2.5 cm.
Heel and toe, heel and toe… $480
The woven Heel and Toe is an easy to wear shoe for any season. The woven leather is lined with kid, with a leather strap across the instep fastening with a bronze button. The wooden heel is hand turned 2.5 cm and varnished. The insole and sole are both leather. This shoe could also be made in a variety of leathers.
COLLABORATION with Tessa Blazey
I have been lucky enough to do some work collaborating with the wonderful Melbourne jeweller Tessa Blazey. This is the first of our work. Tessa has cast in bronze some of her Fiction range, for the embellishment of the chasseurs (sounds exciting in French)! The pieces are cast and Tessa finishes them by hand, and then I sew them on to the upper leather before the shoes are lasted. Quite fiddly, but I think beautiful, the bronze will take on a lovely patina as it ages. These could also be cast in sterling silver, and with a bit of thought could be used on many of my shoes! Gorgeous!
The Woven Court $480
This is another trans seasonal shoe, shown here in the beautiful dark bronze woven leather. The court comes with both a leather ankle strap with a bronze button, and also leather spaghetti that can be tied around the ankle. The heel is hand turned and varnished, the lining, insole and sole are all leather. As with all other shoes, this can be made in a variety of leathers.
The Woven Mule $480
This Mule is made using the beautiful woven leather I have had made. The edges have been left unfinished and sewn, to make the most of the texture of the weaving. It comes in five lovely colours, or of course could be made in any leather. The heel is a hand turned wooden 5cm straight cuban with a light varnish, kid leather lining and leather sole. The cut comes quite high up the foot for a snug fit, this is a good trans-seasonal choice.
The Collared Mule $450
The trans-seasonal mule is made from a beautiful supple “Black Diamond” fine grained cow leather, and lined with kid leather. They have been made on a classic 1960′s motorcycle boot last, resulting in an unmistakable squared toe. The detail running up the front of the foot to the collar is hand stitched with a heavy waxed thread. The heel is hand turned and varnished solid wood, 5cm high. The insole and sole are leather.
The Laced Court $480
The striking feature of the court shoe is the asymmetrical toe, with a classically shaped topline. The aesthetic detail on the court is the topline collar, threaded with kangaroo lacing. Both the upper and lining are kid leather, which is available in a range of colours. The 3 cm heel is hand turned and varnished. The insole and sole are leather.
The Desert Boot $480
The timeless Desert Boot reinvented for winter. Made from a beautiful quality suede with a smooth nap, and lined with kid leather. The square toe is echoed in the squared off heel, which is hand turned, stained and waxed, 4cm high. The detail on the quarters is hand stitched with heavy waxed thread. The insole and sole are leather. The suede is available in a variety of colours.
The Johnnie Stitched Boot $550
This ankle zip boot is an echo of the classic motorcycle boot silhouette. It is made from a beautiful supple, medium weight ‘Black Diamond’ cow leather, and lined with kid. The Johnnie Stitched Boot is fitted around the ankle, with an inside zip. The stitching detail which crosses the vamp twice is hand stitched in heavy waxed thread.
